Class
Assassin
Coup de Grace · levels at 3 / 6 / 9 different pieces
Every Assassin piece: At the start of each battle, Assassins leap behind the enemy lineup with their first move. (The guaranteed critical hit after the leap needs the (3) Assassin bonus or higher.)
Crit chances can be raised by luck effects such as the Lucky Pendant. The 15% rolls from (3) and (6) are separate; when both proc, the higher crit applies.
- 3
Assassins get a 15% chance to crit for 250% damage. Their first hit after the leap always crits.
Note: The Assassin trait says the first hit after the leap always crits, but that only happens once you have 3 Assassins.
- 6
Assassins get an extra, separate 15% chance to crit for 400% damage, which stacks with the (3) bonus. The post-leap crit is 250% or 400% at random.
- 9
Assassins can leap again after getting a kill, or when a 5-10 second timer runs out. Every post-leap hit uses the highest crit the piece has (at least 400%).
Note: The tooltip says “a certain duration”. The first re-leap timer is 9 seconds, then 5-10 seconds.
Official in-game tooltip
The first movement of Assassin pieces in each round causes Assassins to leap over to the back of the enemy lineup. The first blow after Backstab Leap is always a critical strike with a random bonus damage amplifier.
