Items, relics & talents

Items

Items give stats and special effects to the piece holding them. There are 5 tiers; see the item list for every item.

Getting items

  • Creep drops. Stronger creeps in creep rounds can drop items.
  • Spoil Tokens (loot boxes) from winning creep rounds: choose 1 of 3 random items of that tier.
  • Eliminated players may drop items to the survivors.

Equipping

Items sit in your courier's inventory until you give them to a piece. Pieces can drop their items again with the disarm ability.

Equipment Recast

There's no item combining in this version of the game. To upgrade, use Equipment Recast: it melts the items in your courier's inventory into a Spoil Token. The token's level is half the total of the item tiers, rounded up (maximum 5). For example, three tier-1 items make a level-2 token. You get one recast after each creep round. Rapier can't be recast.

Relics

Relics are powerful one-of-a-kind effects. You get them from relic boxes, rewarded for winning the creep rounds at 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50: choose 1 of 3.

  • Each game only 10 random relics are available.
  • You hold one relic at a time; it lasts until the next relic round, when a new one replaces it.

Talents

Talents are permanent bonuses in 4 tiers. At rounds 5, 15, 25 and 35 you choose one of two talents in the next tier. At round 45 you also get every talent you didn't pick.
